A\nSnapshot of Your Day (position overview)

Siemens Energy is\nlooking for a Ceramic Core Process Engineer (Materials) who develops and\ncontinuously improves core injection manufacturing processes! Troubleshoot\nprocess problems and provide technical support to manufacturing to ensure\ntimely delivery of conforming core products to downstream processes. Engages\nwith process & product engineers within the core technical team as well as\nthe casting team!

How\nYou’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Applies process\nknowledge, basic engineering principles, previous experience, and creativity as\nvital to develop processes and parameters that result in the production of core\nmaterial that meets internal requirements and cores that meet customer specifications
  • Reviews requirements and\ndevelops processes and documentation to achieve them
  • Establishes, maintains,\nand presents statistical process control in assigned areas
  • Monitors yield and\nthroughput in assigned areas, collaborating with process and product colleagues\nas well as other departments to tackle challenges
  • Collaborates with\nappropriate teams to implement improvements (efficiency, safety, yield) and\nwith training team to develop efficient and effective training content
  • Provides technical\ndirection to the team on equipment and processes in assigned areas

What\nYou Bring (requirements)

  • A bachelor's degree or\nequivalent experience in Materials Science is required
  • Minimum 3 years\nexperience in ceramic manufacturing, (investment casting preferred)
  • Experience in ceramic\ncore manufacturing for investment casting, with knowledge of thermal processing\nas an advantage; ability to develop detailed work instructions and provide\ntraining is required.
  • Skilled in reading and\ninterpreting blueprints, technical procedures, customer specifications, and\nregulatory documents, with experience in writing reports, manuals, and business\ncorrespondence for multifaceted audiences.
  • Proficient in\nprobability, statistical inference, and practical applications of fractions,\npercentages, ratios, and proportions, enabling accurate data analysis and\nproblem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft\nOffice applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the skills\nvital to handling technical documentation and presentations optimally.
