The Business Office Cashier is responsible for receiving and recording payments from patients, responsible parties, and/or third party payors for hospital services rendered. This includes payments received over the counter and payments received in the mail. The Business Office Cashier posts payments to the appropriate account and prepares receipts for over the counter payments. The Business Office Cashier maintains daily cash receipts and other files, and maintains control of the cash drawer. The Business Office Cashier effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other healthcare members while maintaining standards of professionalism.
