Job Posting: Body Shop Manager

Preferred Automotive is a family-owned, community-focused dealership group that has proudly served West Michigan for over 50 years. With multiple locations across Muskegon, Grand Haven, and Grand Rapids, we are dedicated to delivering the highest level of customer service and top-quality repairs in our collision and body shop operations.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Body Shop Manager to lead our collision center team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving efficiency, and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

• Lead, motivate, and develop the body shop team including estimators, technicians, and administrative staff.
• Manage production flow to ensure repairs are completed on time and to OEM quality standards.
• Maintain relationships with insurance companies, vendors, and customers.
• Oversee parts ordering, cost control, and shop profitability.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Implement and monitor performance goals, KPIs, and training initiatives.
• Provide hands-on support when needed to keep workflow on track.

• Proven leadership experience in a collision center or automotive repair facility (3+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of insurance procedures, estimating systems (CCC, Mitchell, etc.), and repair processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage a team and drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
