In the role of a BIM Transportation Intern, we'll count on you to:
- Provide real-world experience on exciting projects
- Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professional programs
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Perform assignments and complete tasks under the direct supervision of a professional Engineer or Project Manager
- Develop drawings using BIM Modeling for preliminary and final designs
- Perform basic quantity and geometry calculations while working with a team of Engineers and other designers on various roadway, airfield, or site design projects
- Model linear Transportation or Site Civil design improvements
- Develop detail sheets and plan sets
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications - 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA and/or enrolled in 2-year civil engineering technology program
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
- Knowledge of MicroStation Geopak (ORD) and AutoCAD Civil3D
- Willingness to learn how to implement 3D BIM model to use for visualizations, photo realistic renderings, animations, and virtual reality applications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Preference given to local candidates
Qualifications Required Qualifications - Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
