The Choice is seeking an immediate Administrative Assistant for a private, Catholic high school in downtown DC.
Because this staffing need is starting mid-school year, they are facilitating this role as a temporary position likely until their next permanent hiring cycle in the spring or potentially through the end of the school year. There could be the possibility of temporary to hire next year depending on their long-term hiring needs and if this is a good fit.
Schedule : 8:15AM-2:45PM, Monday-Friday, fully in person. Upcoming school closures will include: 10/24, 11/11, 11/26-11/30, 12/5, 12/20-1/4 for holidays. This person will not work when the school is closed.
Timeframe : Temporary for now at least until Spring 2026, possibly through the school year.
Salary : This is an hourly role. $30 an hour.
Job Duties:
The Administrative Assistant will provide essential support for the daily operations of the Office of Student Services, focusing primarily on managing student attendance, record keeping, scheduling appointments, and handling phone calls with parents. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized, and friendly individual who can maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with students, staff, and parents.
